Loving the Casual Things

(yes, I took a picture in the mirror of a dressing room
don't make fun of me too much)
Is it just me, or do I notice a new, fabulous trend out there.  It's all about not trying to be too fabulous.  I'm loving the new 'casual look.'

I mean, it seems like its really on-point right now to dress down.  Stars are wearing normal clothes! Easy layers, boho flow, jeans and a____.  It's making getting something simple (and cheap) look really put together.

<-- Here's my attempt at it.  And, because as I mentioned my current obsession, it's Taylor Swift inspired. A simple, stripped sweater, with a nautical, I-summer-in-the-Hamptons-look. Taylor has made this look so chic! And everyone's doing it. Thank you Taylor, and other celebs for making it so easy!

I got my look at TJ Maxx, so you may not be able to find the exact same sweater.  But this one? At a steal of $14.99. Bam.

Looking good, Taylor.

Easiest. Hair. Trend. Ever.

On a related note...

My other post today was about casual clothes.  But, what about the hair?  Celebs everywhere are embracing the high bun. From running Saturday errands to going out at night. And it's simple!

My top bun! Easy, effortless, put-together.
This is another pic from my recent shopping trip, where I found my cute, Taylor-eque sweater.

I think the bun makes me look like I put some effort into being cute, when really I put minimum make-up on, pulled my hair back, and really I was just enjoying my day off with some shopping.  (I wish I would have snapped a pic with what I was actually wearing, which was a hoodie and jeans. It was cold. I was being comfortable. And lazy, but the bun hid that fact.)

Here's a good trick I learned:

Crazy tease that pony! I don't have a lot of hair, so before when I would wrap it normal, I'd have a tiny, ridiculous bun.  Now, that' I've discovered this step? Big bun! And the bun doesn't come out ratty, like this pony looks!

Try it on your next outing!

I'm still curious about sock buns, too.  Haven't tried that yet.

Taylor Swift, I'm Finally Obsessed

I'm such a Swifty? Tay-tor Tot? Do these crazy Taylor Swift fans have cutesy, little-moster-esque names?  Whatever it be, I'm now one.  Sure, in the past there were songs here and there that I liked, loved even. Who can get "You Belong with Me" out of there head when it pops on the radio.  But, with the release of "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together," she had me sold.  I bought the single on iTunes, I bought "Red" on release day.

And boy, the album is great. Mostly, great. I've listened to it over and over in the past week.  This new, folksy, Taylor Swift is awesome!  I love it.

Stay Stay Stay is one of my favorites:

There is one small problem with the song.  The end. The very, very, very end.  The giggles and talking. I agree with t-swift's assement, the song is darn cute!  But I could do with out the giggles and talking.  It's also on one part of WANEGBT I can't stand. Which is also why I think the biggest mistake of the album is "22," which others seem to like?  22 is being used on the ads for the CMA's.  There's a preview of the song on Youtube.  I really hope that does not mean it's going to be a single.

That tangent aside. Listen to TayTay. This album is great.

And I'm really liking Taylor Swift.  Her makeup, her clothes, her hair. Bravo.

I also recommend: The Lucky One, Starlight, and title track Red.

Thanks For Joining Me

Hi kids! I'm Jordann with 2 n's.  (My college friends would say the n's are how you know I'm not a man.) I'm loving beauty products, trends, fashion and entertainment news right now. I wanted an avenue to share my thoughts on them. A warning, I may stray from those topics every now and again. Sorry.

Thanks for joining me.
